The F-Word for today is: Fate…
According to Webster’s Dictionary, fate is: an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future.
Do you believe in Fate?
Or do you believe in free-will?
And are the two mutually exclusive?
I find this an interesting topic – ‘food for thought’ if you will…
When I was doing a little research on the topic, I came across an interesting article written by a colleague of mine at the Examiner.com – here’s the link: What you think determines your fate. Her idea is that we’re all products of our upbringing, our beliefs and the self-image we carry around in our heads.
So, what about you?
What do you believe? Are you in charge? The captain of your fate and the master of your soul? Can you create the life you want, or will you always be controlled by fate?
There’s an interesting book that goes into the subject of fate and the law-of-attaction. It’s written by Lynn Grabhorn and it’s called, “Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting : The Astonishing Power of Feelings” - and it talks about how everything in the law of attraction – your ability to manifest the things you want into your life – has to start with the basic laws of physics. In other words, what feelings you send out – energy vibrations – influence what you attract into your life.
So, I can’t help wondering then, if you control your feelings – does that mean you can control your fate – utilize your free will – and change your destiny?
I’ve always felt like fate is like a tapestry… There are certain things that are pre-ordained – whether they’re the life lessons we decided we wanted (or needed) to learn while we were here on earth, or the people we chose to have in our lives… but I also believe that we have choices… We are the ones who ultimately decide on the colors that we want to weave into our tapestry and we can choose to change the pattern any time we want – or we can choose to leave it unfinished…
